PV Cells (photovalic cells) are integrated into the insulated glass units, which are installed within the unitized curtain wall. The PV curtainwall can be seen on the left side of most openings (as indicated by the darker glass).

Solar powered art is now on full display every night of the week along West Colfax Avenue thanks to the West Colfax Business Improvement District.
Solmotiv Design collaborated with @demiurge_design on Joe Riche’s Typha, which is a cattail inspired sculpture along West Colfax Avenue in Denver. Solmotiv designed the LED lighting and the off-grid solar system that powers it.
Hunter's Point South, North Tower | Long Island City, NY
Solmotiv designed the BIPV screenwall atop Long Island City’s Hunter’s Point North Tower, which is expected to be one of the largest affordable housing projects in NYC history.
This BIPV screenwall is constructed from solar panels that generate electricity from wall space which is otherwise unseen and unused. The BIPV screenwall also encapsulates the skyscraper’s HVAC and elevator machinery, among other things.
